They are not as common as single flue chimney caps, but in my opinion multi-flue chimney caps provide additional benefits and are more aesthetically pleasing. The larger span of the hood protects a good portion of the chimney crown which is one of the first lines of defense against water intrusion. Chimney crowns break down over time and a multi-flue chimney cap can resolve minor defects within the crown. These caps come in a wide range of styles and sizes so they can match the style of your home. They provide a much more uniform look than single flue chimney caps.
